I have been priviledged to know Jake and Pauline for years, and feel blessed to call them friends. They run a top notch business all around, and a stay at their place will be worth your time and money. You can even get up at 4 A.M. and help make a batch of maple candy or maple cream. A stop at Coutures on your visit to NE Vermont is a must, if you want to go away having had the best time you could ever want to. From good food, to good company, you will enjoy your stay.

I ran out of syrup and had to buy some from the grocery store. Even though it was from Vermont, it just isn't the same. For 20 years since we stumbled on your Sugar House on our tour through New England we have been ordering your Mayple Syrup, and now I remember why. It is just better than any other.

Struggling to not write toooo good of a review for fear there won't be any room for me to come back! A no-brainer when moving up to Jay for the weekend. Jacque and Pauline, I hope you're ready for another winter....you'll be seeing plenty of me again this year!!!

A very inviting and authentic farm stay in a beautiful area. We came for leaf-peeping the Northeast Kindgdom and would certainly come back. A very good stay.

My visit to northern VT was most amazing thanks to this loving couple! Their sincerity and love permeate all aspects of farm life plus the cows give kisses! I celebrate your 40 years together Mr. and Mrs. Couture. Thank you for maple sweet welcome, hours of conversation and a delicious farm breakfast. Next time I visit, I'm bring you a hula hoop Mrs. Couture! Thanks again.

We enjoyed our time with the Coutures. Their home is very comfortable, clean and cozy. We were welcome to visit the barn and a cow had just given birth in the field that afternoon. You could indulge your senses in living on a farm! Pauline made us a delicous pancake breakfast complete with maple syrup from their sugarbush. I would recommend their Bed & Breakfast to all ages.

Wonderful stay, top notch breakfast, great place to stay before a powder day, and Pauline will fix your pants after you rip them tearing up the woods at Jay.
Maple Syrup in your coffee and a pile of pancakes and bacon in your belly.

A wonderful place run by wonderful people. Comfortable rooms, amazing home - cooked breakfasts with friendly owners and easy access to the best skiing on the east coast. We had a wonderful stay and will be back again, surely!
